This recall involves Denon’s HEOS 1 Go Pack lithium-ion rechargeable battery packs for wireless speakers. Only HEOS 1 Go Packs with a 10-character alpha-numeric serial number beginning with 5 or 601G91 and ending with 3517 through 4004 are included in the recall; the battery packs are black or white, hexagon-shaped and have four blue LED lights and a power button.  HEOS, the model and serial numbers are printed on the bottom.  Only the speaker battery is being recalled.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled battery packs and contact Denon for a free replacement battery pack, including shipping.

This recall involves the Samsung Galaxy Note7 smartphone sold before September 15, 2016.  The recalled devices have a 5.7 inch screen and were sold in the following colors:  black onyx, blue coral, gold platinum and silver titanium with a matching stylus. Samsung is printed on the top front of the phone and Galaxy Note7 is printed on the back of the phone.

To determine if your phone has been recalled, locate the IMEI number on the back of the phone or the packaging, and enter the IMEI number into the online registration site www.samsung.com or call Samsung toll-free at 844-365-6197.
Incidents/Injuries
Samsung has received 92 reports of the batteries overheating in the U.S., including 26 reports of burns and 55 reports of property damage, including fires in cars and a garage.

Polaris has received 19 reports of the ROVs catching on fire, resulting in six reports of burn injuries. One of the reported fires occurred in Utah’s American Fork Canyon, which led to a young child suffering severe burns and 15 acres of forest land being destroyed.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled ROVs and contact Polaris to schedule a free repair. Consumers will receive an extended warranty on each repaired RZR Turbo and a discount towards the purchase of a new vehicle.

This recall involves 250-foot and 1,000-foot metal clad aluminum armored cabling with date codes between August 2015 and November 2015. The cable is typically installed behind walls, connecting the circuit breaker panel to a 120-volt wall outlet or lighting switch. The date code is printed, in a MMMYY format (ex. Aug15), on the back side of the hang tag attached to the cabling at the time of purchase.

Samsung recalls Galaxy Note 7 over battery flaw

After just two weeks on sale and 35 faulty phone batteries so far, Samsung issues a global recall and promises to replace every unit already sold.
Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 problems are just heating up.

The Korean electronics conglomerate on Friday said that because of a problem with the Galaxy Note 7 battery it would halt sales of the new device around the world and would recall and replace those phones already sold.

The company's flagship device has been on sale worldwide for just two weeks.
The recall comes at a critical time for Samsung, as Apple prepares to unveil its latest iPhone next Wednesday. If the problem persists, it could threaten the momentum Samsung has enjoyed over the last few months, fueled by the success of the Galaxy S7. With the well-received launch of the Note 7 last month and the Gear S3 smartwatch at the IFA trade show this week, the company was starting to get its swagger back.

"There's definitely damage done and the whole incident is detrimental to Samsung's image," said IDC analyst Tay Xiaohan. "The level of damage will depend on how Samsung addresses this issue quickly and solves the problem."

Samsung said it had received 35 separate reports worldwide tied to what it described only as a "battery cell issue." It is working with its suppliers to root out other "affected batteries" in the market.
In recent days, South Korean social media had seen a spate of people posting images of charred Galaxy Note 7 devices, claiming they had overheated or exploded.

The company also said it will voluntarily replace every Note 7 already in the market "over the coming weeks." Further details on the recall and on the replacement program are not yet known.
It's not the first time Samsung has had trouble with its Note line. Last year, users complained of a design flaw in the Note 5 that led to problems when the phone's stylus was inserted into the phone the wrong way.
The Note 7 recall eclipses both these issues. And with 1 million Note 7 devices reportedly already sold, replacing every phone sold will be a Herculean task and one that is expected to impact the company's bottom line.

Samsung will provide more instructions on the replacement process next week, but for now, the company is in damage control after pulling its hottest new phone from the shelves so quickly after launch.

Samsung is committed to producing the highest quality products and we take every incident report from our valued customers very seriously. In response to recently reported cases of the new Galaxy Note7, we conducted a thorough investigation and found a battery cell issue.
To date (as of September 1) there have been 35 cases that have been reported globally and we are currently conducting a thorough inspection with our suppliers to identify possible affected batteries in the market. However, because our customers' safety is an absolute priority at Samsung, we have stopped sales of the Galaxy Note7.
For customers who already have Galaxy Note7 devices, we will voluntarily replace their current device with a new one over the coming weeks. Instructions on the replacement process will be shared next week.
We acknowledge the inconvenience this may cause in the market but this is to ensure that Samsung continues to deliver the highest quality products to our customers. We are working closely with our partners to ensure the replacement experience is as convenient and efficient as possible.
